Owner submissions

When you submit a hostel, Aashian receives the hostel details, contact person, phone number, optional reply email, address, reported rent, facilities, policies and any map link and hostel photos you supply. These are saved privately for the authorised Aashian administrator to review and follow up.

Submission does not publish a hostel. After review, approved hostel information and authorised hostel contact details may be published. Optional reply emails stay private and are not copied into the public listing. Consent records and internal review notes are not displayed in the directory. Uploaded photos stay private until a listing using them is published. Only upload photographs you own or have permission to share. Image files can contain embedded metadata; avoid uploads containing sensitive information.

Listing reports

A report stores the listing reference, category, your explanation and any optional follow-up phone number and email. Your report and contact details remain in the private review inbox; they are not published as a student review.

Only include the details needed to explain the issue. Do not send identity documents, CNIC numbers, passwords, payment details or other people’s private information.

Choices and temporary drafts

Shortlists, comparisons, theme preferences and Ask Ash’s position are saved in your browser when local storage is available. “Clear saved choices” removes the shortlist and comparison choices. Clearing this website’s browser data also removes its saved preferences.

Ask Ash conversations and student inquiry drafts stay on the current page and are not submitted to Aashian. Downloaded inquiry files remain on your device. Owner submissions and listing reports are sent to the server when you press their submit button.

Storage, access and retention

Aashian is hosted through OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare. Submitted forms are stored server-side. The administrator uses ChatGPT sign-in to access the private dashboard; public visitors do not gain access to the inbox or backups.

The inbox uses a 90-day review window. Routine form, inbox and export processing deletes entries older than 90 days; removal happens when that processing next runs. Unused submission photos are removed when their inbox entry is deleted or expires during routine processing. Photos referenced by a saved draft or listing are retained separately, including while that listing is hidden. Approved listing records and administrator-exported backups are separate and may remain until reviewed or removed.

Basic spam prevention uses a short-lived hash of the connection address and a request counter. Raw connection addresses are not saved in Aashian’s inbox or rate-limit tables. Expired counters are removed during routine processing. Hosting services may process technical request data and use necessary cookies under their own policies, including for administrator sign-in.

Email and notifications

You can email Aashian at aashianpk@gmail.com. Email links open your own email app; you review and send the message there. Incoming messages and replies are handled in Gmail under Google’s policies. The website does not read or synchronise your Gmail inbox.

Administrator email alerts require an authorised sending service to be configured. When enabled, the server sends the administrator a submission reference and a link to the private dashboard through Resend. Form contents, optional reply emails and photos are not included in those alerts. Provider acceptance is not proof of inbox delivery. No automated student or owner confirmation email is promised.

Email copies on Gmail or an activated sending service have their own retention; deleting a website submission does not delete those external copies. Optional reply emails are used for the submitted enquiry and are not subscribed to marketing.

External services

WhatsApp, Instagram, source documents and map links open other services. Information you send there is handled by those services. Aashian cannot delete messages or files held by an external service.

This release does not add advertising trackers or submit your Ask Ash conversation to an AI model.

Corrections and deletion requests

To ask about a submission or request a correction or deletion, email aashianpk@gmail.com or contact Aashian on WhatsApp at +92 310 3402077. Include the submission reference if you have one. We may ask for enough information to establish which record belongs to you; do not send identity documents in your first message.

The administrator can remove inbox entries and edit or hide listings. Downloaded files, exported backups and copies on external services require separate handling. A response timeframe is not guaranteed.
